A block staining method using ethanolic phosphotungstic acid for the visualisation of collagens in transmission electron microscopy

Conventional transmission electron microscopic imaging of biological samples requires contrast enhancement by staining with heavy metal salts. The most widely used stains are uranyl acetate and its non-radioactive lanthanoid replacements, and lead citrate. However, these substances proved of limited use for the visualisation of small fibrillar collagens. We therefore developed a preparation of ethanolic phosphotungstic acid (E-PTA) as an improvement to overcome this deficiency. We were able to establish a highly effective and time saving block staining procedure that can be integrated in the dehydration steps. The method reliably visualizes fibrillar collagens, prominently including the small collagen VII anchoring fibrils of the human skin, and various other extracellular matrix components. E-PTA-stained collagen I/III fibrils are conspicuous in transverse and longitudinal section, accurately showing the characteristic banding pattern in the latter. The new E-PTA based block staining method also clearly depicts all relevant intracellular structures, particularly accentuating keratin fibres and desmosomal and hemidesmosomal plaques. We therefore conclude that beyond the visualization of collagen, this method is also a fast, inexpensive and versatile non-radioactive alternative to standard staining methods.

Sphingolipid metabolism-related genes B4GALNT1 and CERS4 as prognostic biomarkers in lung adenocarcinoma

Sphingolipid metabolism is an important component of various biological processes, particularly in cancer pathology. This metabolic pathway significantly influences the behavior of cancer cells by regulating growth, apoptosis, and survival. Although modulating sphingolipid metabolism has attracted attention as a novel therapeutic strategy, its complexity and specific mechanisms remain incompletely understood. In the current study, transcriptomic profiling was employed to compare the expression of sphingolipid metabolism-related genes between normal solid tissues and lung adenocarcinoma tissues. Additionally, Gene Ontology, Kyoto Encyclopedia of Genes and Genomes enrichment, and protein–protein interaction (PPI) analyses were performed to investigate the functional relevance of these genes. Twelve sphingolipid metabolism-related genes formed a highly interconnected core, suggesting their potential central role within the regulatory network. Four genes were found to be significantly correlated with overall survival. Notably, B4GALNT1 upregulation and CERS4 downregulation correlated with advanced tumor stage and metastasis. They also showed prognostic significance in Cox regression analyses, and these findings were consistently validated in an independent cohort. In vitro, within lung adenocarcinoma cell lines, B4GALNT1 knockdown and CERS4 overexpression suppressed cell proliferation, migration, and epithelial-to-mesenchymal transition, supporting their roles in lung adenocarcinoma progression. These findings highlight B4GALNT1 and CERS4 as potential prognostic biomarkers and therapeutic targets in lung adenocarcinoma, warranting further clinical investigation.

Antibiofilm and antibacterial activity of maslinic acid against Vancomycin-Resistant Enterococci (VRE)

The emergence of vancomycin-resistant Enterococcus (VRE) has posed a significant global health threat, especially in healthcare settings where treatment options are increasingly limited due to rising antibiotic resistance. Maslinic acid, a naturally occurring pentacyclic triterpene found in olives, is known for its diverse biological activities, including anti-inflammatory, anticancer, antioxidant, and antimicrobial effects. In this study, we investigated the antibacterial and antibiofilm potential of maslinic acid against VRE. Initial screening identified maslinic acid as a potent hit, with minimum inhibitory concentrations (MICs) ranging from 4 to 8 µg/mL across 13 clinical enterococcal isolates, including multidrug-resistant strains. Time-kill assays demonstrated bacteriostatic activity comparable to linezolid, while cytotoxicity and hemolysis assays confirmed its safety in mammalian cells. Furthermore, maslinic acid disrupted established Enterococcus faecalis biofilms by approximately 50%, whereas linezolid was not effective against biofilms. Notably, maslinic acid significantly reduced bacterial burden in a Caenorhabditis elegans infection model by 80%, outperforming linezolid. These findings highlight maslinic acid as a promising candidate for the development of new therapies targeting VRE, with the added advantage of antibiofilm activity and a favorable safety profile.

Promoting agricultural entrepreneurship through practical education in Chinese universities

The social phenomenon of university students learning agriculture rather than pursuing it, understanding agriculture rather than choosing agriculture, is a major challenge for the sustainable development of agricultural talents in China. This research paper investigates the impact and mechanism of practical education in agricultural schools on students’ intention to start agricultural businesses using OLS, Probit, and mediation effect models. Data from a survey of 1612 Chinese students from Sichuan Agricultural University, Nanjing Agricultural University and other 6 agricultural universities was analyzed, with instrumental variable probit model (IV-Probit) utilized to tackle endogeneity issues. The results showed that (1) The implementation of rural social practice, volunteer service, entrepreneurship competition, and agricultural labor education by universities can significantly boost university students’ interest in starting their agricultural businesses. Additionally, for every additional type of practical education students receive, they are 11.0% more likely to want to start business in agriculture. (2) Practical education will affect individual entrepreneurial effectiveness perception, including economic benefit perception, social status perception and professional value perception. Among these, the mediating effect of professional value perception is the strongest, with a ratio of 16.1%. (3) The results suggest that entrepreneurship support policy play a role in moderating the connection between individuals’ economic benefit, social status perceptions and their intentions. (4) The intentions of university students to start agricultural businesses are significantly correlated with their control variables, including major selection, students cadre experience, agricultural cognition, household registration, and family members’ occupation. Therefore, it is suggested that there should be a focus on enhancing practical education in agricultural universities, fostering students’ confidence in agricultural entrepreneurship, and optimizing sustainable policy support for university students’ entrepreneurial endeavors.

Socioeconomic status and depressive symptoms among older adults in China: The mediating role of cognitive function, lifestyle and social participation

Introduction Socioeconomic status (SES) is a key risk factor for depression in older adults, while cognitive function, lifestyle and social participation also have an impact on depression. This study aimed to investigate the mediating role of cognitive function, lifestyle and social participation in the association between SES and depressive symptoms among older adults in China. Methods Data were derived from the Chinese Longitudinal Healthy Longevity Survey (CLHLS) (2017−2018). A total of 7595 community-dwelling adults aged ≥65 years were included. Depressive symptoms were assessed using the 10-item Center for Epidemiologic Studies Depression Scale (CES-D-10). SES was measured as a composite index incorporating education level, occupation, and self-rated economic status. Cognitive function was evaluated via the Mini Mental State Examination (MMSE). Lifestyle and social participation scores were constructed based on relevant questionnaire items. Mediation analysis was performed to explore the indirect effects of cognitive function, lifestyle, and social participation on the association between SES and depressive symptoms. Results The prevalence rate of depressive symptoms (CES-D-10 score ≥10) was 41.1%. After adjusting for sociodemographic and health-related covariates, SES was negatively associated with depressive symptoms (β = −0.887, P  < 0.001). SES had a significant mediating effect on depression in older adults respectively, through cognitive function (relative mediating effect = 8.0%, β = −0.071, 95%CI: −0.095 ~ −0.048), lifestyle (19.9%, β = −0.177, 95%CI: −0.213 ~ −0.140) and social participation (7.6%, β = −0.068, 95%CI: −0.095 ~ −0.042). Additionally, sequential mediating effects were observed for “cognitive function → lifestyle” (1.0%, β = −0.009, 95%CI: −0.012 ~ −0.006), “cognitive function → social participation” (1.0%, β = −0.009, 95%CI: −0.014 ~ −0.006), “lifestyle → social participation” (1.4%, β = −0.012, 95%CI: −0.018 ~ −0.007), and “cognitive function → lifestyle → social participation” (0.1%, β = −0.001, 95%CI: −0.001 ~ −0.001). Conclusion SES influences depressive symptoms in Chinese older adults through both direct and indirect pathways. The findings highlight the need for multifaceted interventions targeting cognitive function enhancement, healthy lifestyle promotion, and social participation facilitation, particularly among socioeconomically disadvantaged older populations, to mitigate depressive symptoms and promote healthy aging.

Socio-demographic and environmental determinants of camel mortality in Somaliland’s nomadic communities: A negative binomial regression analysis of the 2020 demographic and health survey

This study presents the first comprehensive quantitative assessment of the socio-demographic and environmental determinants of camel mortality in Somaliland’s nomadic communities, leveraging household-level data from the 2020 Somaliland Demographic and Health Survey (SLDHS). Employing a Negative Binomial Regression analysis, we explored the magnitude of total and cause-specific (drought, flood, disease) camel mortality. Our findings reveal that camel mortality is not a random occurrence but is systematically influenced by a confluence of environmental and demographic factors. Key determinants of increased mortality risk include residence in the eastern regions of Somaliland (Togdheer, Sool, and Sanaag), older age of the household head, and reliance on unimproved water sources. Environmental shocks, particularly drought, emerged as the most significant drivers of camel deaths. While older household heads and larger household sizes were associated with fewer drought-related deaths, possibly due to accumulated experience or better coping strategies, female headship showed a nuanced role, being protective for overall and drought mortality but a risk factor for flood and disease-related deaths. Access to unimproved water sources consistently increased the risk of camel mortality across all causes, while higher household wealth was associated with significantly fewer deaths. The study highlights a clear and statistically significant east-west disparity in camel survival, with eastern regions experiencing higher mortality. These insights provide crucial evidence for policymakers and animal health organizations to design targeted interventions, safeguard pastoral assets, and strengthen community resilience against mounting environmental and economic pressures in data-scarce regions.

Modeling viral shedding and symptom outcomes in oseltamivir-treated experimental influenza infection

Influenza remains a global public health concern, and although the antiviral drug oseltamivir is widely used to treat infections, questions regarding its actual antiviral efficacy and clinical benefits remain. Here, we evaluated the effects of oseltamivir on viral shedding dynamics in the context of experimental influenza infection. We analyzed individual participant data, including viral load, time to symptom alleviation, and laboratory test measurements, obtained from three publicly available clinical trials involving experimental infections with influenza A and B viruses. We applied mathematical modeling and estimated parameters using a nonlinear mixed-effects model to capture viral infection dynamics. Our analysis revealed that, compared with placebo groups, the oseltamivir-treated groups tended to have lower values in terms of viral load area under the curve, duration of infection, peak viral titer, and time to peak; however, most of these differences were not significant; and no dose-dependent effects were observed. Moreover, there was no significant correlation between time to symptom alleviation and viral load. Some laboratory test parameters showed opposing correlations with symptom-related and viral load-related outcomes. These findings are consistent with distinct mechanisms underlying the symptom-alleviating effects of oseltamivir and its antiviral activity. Our findings suggest that the availability of individual-level data for public use is essential because it enables the evaluation of mechanisms in clinical trials and the development of more appropriate outcome measures.

Comparisons of factors correlated with successful smoking cessation between middle-aged and older smokers

Background As the elderly population expands, smoking cessation becomes increasingly vital due to their heightened risk of adverse health effects. This study investigated the factors influencing successful smoking cessation among older smokers (≥65 years) in Taiwan, comparing them with those in middle-aged smokers (40–64 years). Methods We conducted a retrospective cohort study involving participants aged 40 and above who engaged in smoking cessation therapies in Taiwan from 2012 to 2022. The primary outcome was self-reported smoking status six months post-treatment. Using logistic regression with generalized estimation equations, we calculated the adjusted odds ratios for successful cessation, considering various individual and ecological factors. Results Among 263,641 middle-aged patients (442,133 treatment sessions) and 42,650 older smokers (67,372 treatment sessions), cessation success rates were 39.59% and 45.22%, respectively. Overall, both groups shared similar factors influencing cessation success. However, shorter smoking duration was more strongly associated with quitting among older smokers (adjusted odds ratio, aOR=1.35; 95% CI = 1.22–1.50), whereas varenicline (aOR=1.33; 95% CI = 1.26–1.40), bupropion (aOR=1.24; 95% CI = 1.19–1.30), and higher urbanization (aOR=1.29; 95% CI = 1.26–1.33) had greater effects among middle-aged smokers. Conclusions While the underlying mechanisms of smoking cessation were similar across age groups, the relative influence of smoking duration, medication counseling, and institutional urbanization differed. These findings highlight the need for tailored interventions within the Tobacco Cessation Program, focusing on medication adherence and continuous counseling for middle-aged smokers, and improving accessibility and health management support for older adults.

Environmental influences on community participation among people with multiple sclerosis: A mixed methods study

Objective To examine the influence of environmental factors (EFs) and personal factors (PFs) on community participation among people with multiple sclerosis (PwMS) and identify areas for improvement. Methods A mixed methods explanatory sequential design was used. A secondary data analysis of patient-reported outcomes and Global Positioning System (GPS) data was completed using multiple linear regression analysis to examine associations between five EFs, five PFs, and six community participation outcomes in 100 PwMS. Four focus groups were completed with 12 PwMS who use mobility aids and 12 who do not to understand how EFs affected community participation experiences. Thematic analysis was used. Results Regression results showed significant associations between PFs and five community participation outcomes (R 2  = 13% − 48%, p < 0.05), and EFs explained an additional 11% variation in satisfaction with participation and 11% in GPS-derived measures of activity space, after adjusting for PFs (ΔR² = 0.11, p < 0.05). Among individual EFs, after accounting for PFs, perceived financial resources was associated with ability to participate (B = 1.46, p = 0.018), and satisfaction with participation (B = 3.12, p < 0.001). Social support (B = −1.05, p = 0.022) and neighborhood safety (B = 1.3, p = 0.007) were associated with activity space. Qualitative findings revealed that mobility aid users experienced increased challenges in the built environment, and non-users reported more concerns about the attitudinal environment. They also described how environmental support enabled participation despite functional declines. Acceptance and adaptation were useful strategies, but participants called for improvements in the built environment, information access, MS specialty care, and public attitudes towards disability. Conclusion Community participation among PwMS is influenced by both PFs and EFs. Statistically, EFs uniquely affected participation satisfaction and activity space, while qualitative findings revealed major barriers and highlighted needs for improvement in physical, social, and attitudinal environments.

Validation of visual analogue scales to assess occupational stress compared to the Karasek questionnaire: A cross sectional study

Background The Job Demand-Control-Support (JDCS) model is one of the most important tools for assessing work-related stress. However, its complexity highlights the need for simpler instruments, such as the Visual Analog Scale (VAS), for rapid assessment in occupational medicine. Objectives To validate three VAS corresponding to the main JDCS dimensions: job demand, job control, and social support. Method We conducted an observational cross-sectional validation study using a self-administered questionnaire completed twice, a week apart, at the participants’ convenience, to perform test-retest. Results We analysed 155 participants (60 for test and retest), mostly women around 40 years. Acceptability was excellent, with high response rates. Internal consistency analysis revealed moderate correlations between VAS and JDCS model main dimensions. Reliability assessed by Lin’s concordance correlation coefficient was acceptable for the VAS and higher for the JDCS. Mean VAS scores indicated significant differences between low and high demand, control, and social support, with cut-off values of 58, 71.5 and 63.5 respectively. For external validity, we mainly found high agreement between VAS and JDCS. Conclusions VAS are valid, quick, easy to use, and reliable tools for the assessment of job demand, job control and social support in daily clinical practice for primary prevention and diagnosis. Based on our findings, easier-to-remember cut-offs could be proposed at 60, 70, and 60 for VAS job demand, VAS job control, and VAS social support, respectively. However, when results are over the determined cut-off, we encourage the use of JDCS questionnaire. Trial registration ClinicalTrials.gov NCT05871411 .

How to promote universities’ research and development into green agricultural products – A tripartite evolutionary game analysis

Research into green agricultural products significantly enhances the sustainable development of China’s agriculture. These products ensure food safety, meet quality demands, reduce pollution, and advance agricultural green transformation. Utilising evolutionary game theory, this study analyses the interactions among the government, universities, and consumers in the research and development (R&D) on green agricultural products. Results show that under specific conditions, strategic interactions evolve toward stable states: (1,1,0) or (1,1,1). Secondly, critical factors affecting universities’ R&D demonstrate threshold effects. Third, government incentive measures have a significant impact on the R&D willingness of universities and the choices of consumers drives the enthusiasm of universities in making R&D decisions. Policy effectiveness and the outcomes of universities’ R&D subsequently constrain consumer choices. Short-term government incentives are crucial for promoting universities’ green agricultural R&D. Long-term sustainability, however, requires integrating market-driven incentives with government policies to sustain universities’ R&D strategies. This work offers theoretical and practical guidance for governmental policy-making, universities’ R&D strategies, and the upgrading of consumer behaviour. These findings critically support agriculture’s green and sustainable development.

Coupled pharmacokinetic model unveils drug-drug interactions in plasma concentration

In oral drug pharmacokinetics (PK), drug-drug interactions are inevitable, yet traditional compartmental models struggle to effectively quantify such processes. This study proposes a linearly coupled two-compartment PK model, where the coupling term is defined as a linear function of another drug’s amount to strike a balance between model simplicity and physiological interpretability. The model introduces parameter heterogeneity and linear interaction terms based on the classical compartmental structure, more accurately capturing concentration-dependent dynamic changes during combined drug administration. To address the model’s nonlinear characteristics and high-dimensional parameters, a hierarchical optimization numerical solution algorithm was developed, enhancing computational efficiency while validating robustness against Gaussian noise. Through systematic analysis of key PK metrics ( C m a x , T m a x , AUC , and t 1/2 ), the study reveals the mechanisms by which absorption and clearance parameter variations influence drug distribution in vivo. Combining numerical simulations, parameter ablation experiments, and real-world data validation, the full model (retaining all linear interaction terms) outperforms the simplified model in both goodness-of-fit and information criteria, demonstrating superior interpretability and predictive performance. Overall, this model offers an intermediate solution between traditional compartmental models and PBPK models, providing a novel methodological framework for quantitative research on drug-drug interactions.

Identifying optimal combination regimens for therapy of Mycobacterium tuberculosis with an algorithmic approach: prospective predictions and validations

Background Mycobacterium tuberculosis resistance to standard-of-care agents is increasing. It is imperative to identify new combinations that increase the rate and depth of bacterial kill, shorten therapy and also suppress resistance. There has been little prior effort to identify combination regimens that employ new or repurposed drugs in a rational way. Methods and Findings Our group developed a pathway to combine agents to achieve this end. This pathway starts with standard baseline evaluations (e.g., MIC), leverages information from in vitro assessments (hollow fiber infection model), then analyzes 2-agent combinations in a 96 well quantitative culture checkerboard format (Greco URSA model with simulation). Finally, development of a high dimensional mathematical model allowed evaluation of 2- and 3-drug regimens in multiple metabolic states to draw inferences regarding combination therapies. We prospectively evaluated these regimens in animal models. We showed that a prospectively chosen regimen of pretomanid, moxifloxacin plus bedaquiline performed as predicted. In the BALB/c murine model, this regimen produced sterilization in a cohort that was held for 12 weeks after therapy cessation, as it did in the C3HeB/FeJ (“Kramnik”) murine model. Finally, this and other regimens were evaluated in a cynomolgus macaque model. The decrement of the 18 F-deoxyglucose signal in Positron emission tomography (PET)- computed tomography (CT) evaluations was best with this regimen. Other endpoints such as necropsy score and colony counts in lung and lymph nodes also demonstrated that this regimen behaved as predicted from our pathway/algorithm. Conclusions We conclude that this provides a way forward for the future to identify the most promising regimens to shorten therapy for tuberculosis and suppress emergence of resistance.

Color as physical/conceptual attribute: Color word translation by Chinese postgraduate students

Color words present a persistent translation challenge because they function as both perceptual descriptors and carriers of conceptual meaning, and translators must decide which dimension to foreground across genres. Grounded in conceptual metaphor theory, this study investigates how 21 Chinese postgraduate students majoring in translation, many with strong technical backgrounds, translate color words in technical, promotional, and literary contexts, and what cognitive and cultural considerations drive their strategy choices. Participants, recruited from six universities in Shaanxi Province with strong technical profiles, were all experienced in translating technical texts. The findings reveal that students’ treatment of color words varies according to the text type: in technical texts, they predominantly draw on the metaphorical schema of COLOR AS PHYSICAL ATTRIBUTE, prioritizing visual precision and literal meaning. In contrast, in literary or promotional texts, they tend to activate the schema of COLOR AS CONCEPTUAL ATTRIBUTE, focusing on cultural and symbolic meanings. Their translation strategies, ranging from literal rendering to free translation and selective annotation, are shaped by the communicative function and symbolic significance of color words. This study demonstrates that color words serve both as perceptual phenomena and carriers of culturally embedded conceptual meanings, and that translators must actively navigate these dimensions to produce functional and culturally appropriate translations. These results contribute a schema-based explanation of genre-sensitive metaphor regulation in color-word translation and inform translator education by recommending differentiated training that balances precision with cultural resonance.

Integrated microbiomics and metabolomics analysis reveals distinct profiles in carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii and Escherichia coli infections in Pancreatitis-associated sepsis

Background Pancreatitis-associated sepsis (PAS) caused by carbapenem-resistant bacteria poses significant clinical challenges. The objective of this research was to examine the microbial and metabolic profiles of individuals with carbapenem-resistant Acinetobacter baumannii (CRAB) and Escherichia coli (CREC) infections using integrated microbiomics and metabolomics approaches. Methods Peripheral blood samples from 11 PAS patients (8 CRAB, 3 CREC) were analyzed using 16S rDNA gene sequencing and untargeted metabolomics via LC-MS. Microbial diversity, community structure, and differential metabolites were examined between CRAB and CREC groups. Results CRAB patients exhibited higher microbial diversity compared to CREC patients. p- Proteobacteria , p- Firmicutes , and p- Cyanobacteria predominated in both patient groups. Significant differences in microbial composition were observed, with p- Proteobacteria more abundant in CRAB and p- Cyanobacteria in CREC samples. g- Enhydrobacter and s- Moraxella osloensis were the biomarkers, significantly higher in CREC patients. Metabolomic analysis revealed 328 differential metabolites between groups, with the majority being downregulated in CRAB. The main categories of identified differential metabolites were amino acids and their derivatives. These differential metabolites were closely related to various metabolic pathways. The most significant metabolic difference between the two patient groups was the level of triglycerides. R-2 Methanandamide and 13-(β-D-glucosyloxy) docosanoic acid showed the highest correlation with g- Enhydrobacter and s- Moraxella osloensis . Conclusion In PAS patients, s- Moraxella osloensis is a biomarker distinguishing CRAB and CREC infections, correlating with R-2 Methanandamide and 13-(β-D-glucosyloxy) docosanoic acid.

Simulation of liquid hydrocarbon production via n-tetradecane reforming: A renewable energy approach

Considering the current worldwide search for renewable energy, n-tetradecane has attracted attention as a candidate for a hydrogen energy carrier and more sighted for light hydrocarbon within the gasoline range of C 5 -C 12 . This study investigates the production of liquid hydrocarbons by n-tetradecane in two stages process: syngas production through reforming of n-tetradecane and Fischer-Tropsch synthesis. The temperature, oxygen-to-carbon (O 2 /C) ratio, reactor length-to-diameter (L/D) ratio, and steam-to-carbon (S/C) ratio are examined in this study as the parameters that influence the reforming of n-tetradecane and superior result of 800ºC, 0.356 O 2 /C, 6 L/D and 2.3 S/C were established to give high conversion and efficient production of syngas. While the yield of the C 5 + hydrocarbon in the Fischer-Tropsch (FT) reactor increased with rising temperature up to 350°C, but the permissible temperature for process is 290°C, based on these, the temperature was set to optimize productivity and longevity of the catalyst. When using n-tetradecane as feed stock, high C 5 + production was resulted because of its suited H 2 /CO ratio of 2.3. The techno-economic assessment highlights the process’s viability at moderate scales, with economic performance strongly influenced by product price and energy integration.

Temporal relationship of suicide-related internet searches and suicide rates in Korea: A prewhitened cross-correlation analysis

Objective Suicide-related internet search patterns may reflect population-level behavioral responses to suicide risk. This study investigated the temporal associations between suicide-related internet search volumes and weekly suicide rates in Korea using rigorous time-series methodologies. Methods Weekly suicide rates and search volumes for 25 suicide-related terms were obtained from national mortality records and Naver DataLab for two distinct periods: 2016–2019 and 2020–2023. Prewhitening was applied to mitigate spurious correlations, followed by cross-correlation analyses to assess temporal relationships at lags ranging from 0 to 8 weeks. Results Searches for “psychiatry” and “workplace stress” demonstrated consistent contemporaneous correlations across both study periods. During the 2020–2023 period, significant contemporaneous associations were also observed for prevention-related terms (e.g., “suicide crisis counseling,” “1577-0199,” “psychological counseling”), “fatigue,” “suicide urges,” and “suicide death benefit.” In contrast, “depression” exhibited a significant association only during the 2016–2019 period. Across all findings, the observed effect sizes were modest. Conclusions Specific internet search terms, particularly those related to suicide prevention resources and occupational stress, exhibit temporal associations with population-level suicide rates. These findings suggest that monitoring online help-seeking behaviors and work-related stressors could serve as useful indicators for public health planning, although further research is required to elucidate underlying mechanisms and determine practical applications.
