Abstract

Nanotechnology is an emerging technology with limitless real- world applications. It is a technology that explores the unknown potential of science and technology. It is a multidisciplinary field that applies and develops in various fields such as applied science, mechanical, electrical, and others. Nanotechnology has revolutionized various applications in the current era. In this paper, we discuss the role of nanotechnology in computer science and the recent developments and opportunities. This is a review paper that provides a brief overview of the research done so far. Nanotechnology has various applications in almost every field in today’s world. Whether it is medical or electrical, nanotechnology is widely used in every branch. Nanotechnology is not only about materials and their synthesis, but it is also useful for computers and software. In this paper, we focus on some applications of nanotechnology that are related to computers. Nanomaterials have greater strength and smaller sizes, so they can be used to make computer chips (memory chips, ICs) smaller as needed. These chips can have large storage spaces with less size. These chips are flexible and can fit easily within the CPU, which improves the memory and efficiency of the computer.
