SentinelX: AI-Powered Network Security and Threat Detection System
Abstract
The increasing complexity of cyber-physical systems has led to sophisticated security challenges that traditional cybersecurity mechanisms cannot effectively counter. The proposed Honeypot system integrates artificial intelligence (AI), Internet of Things (IoT), and hardware-assisted monitoring to create a comprehensive real-time protection mechanism. It combines intrusion detection, face recognition-based access control, IP-based file access authorization, and environmental monitoring for physical spaces using sensors and cameras. The system employs a Python Flask-based web application for administration and alert management. AI-driven models, including Support Vector Machine (SVM) for face recognition, provide proactive intrusion response. Hardware components such as ESP8266 (for DHT11 and motion sensors) and ESP32 Camera offer environmental and visual surveillance. The system’s self-healing and alerting capabilities, via email and dashboard notifications, ensure adaptive and autonomous cybersecurity. Together, this architecture provides a unified, intelligent, and scalable approach to protecting both digital and physical infrastructures.
