Abstract

Indeed, there is a serious problem with food waste. Together with moral and economical difficulties, food waste poses major environmental risks. Food waste has a direct negative influence on hunger and malnutrition, as well as having significant negative effects on the ecology. Currently available technologies to decrease food waste focus mostly on repurposing large-scale leftovers, not domestic leftovers. As a result, we propose a digital application that would be used to provide extra food to those in need both on a big and local scale. Web apps serve as a platform that makes it easy to grow and allows us to reach a larger audience. Users may register as donors or receivers depending on their needs. Donors can join up as donors to offer food. This method, which focuses on kitchen leftovers and incorporates technology, aids in reducing food waste. Donations will be dispersed using the aforementioned strategy.
