Abstract

e13504 Background: Despite longstanding efforts to increase cancer clinical trial (CCT) enrollment, informational and attitudinal barriers persist. While resources like clinicaltrials.gov offer direct access to CCT information, the volume of diverse information, complex terminology, and user experience remain challenging for effective engagement. Thus, the Cancer Care advocacy organization, in partnership with Bluprint Oncology communications agency, developed myTRIAList, a digital platform with a user-friendly Trial Finder search tool, Trial Talk videos of people sharing CCT experiences, and informational resources to empower people to discuss CCTs with providers. We examined the user reach of myTRIAList and utilization of its Trial Finder search tool. Methods: Data metrics were examined from 10/2023 – 12/2024. myTRIAList reach metrics were captured via Google Analytics (GA4). Trial Finder search metrics were collected via the web-based tool and excluded IP addresses to protect privacy. Descriptive analyses were used to quantify metrics. Results: Over 15 months,myTRIAList hosted 24,907 sessions across 20,805 unique devices/applications (average duration: 1:42 min). Top traffic sources were direct link access (27%), organic social media (23%), and paid social media (23%) from users associated with NY (15%), CA (10%), TX (7%), and FL (7%). Regarding the Trial Finder, 1815 separate searches were completed. Preferred CCT locations spanned all 50 states and DC, most frequently NY (16%), CA (9%), NJ (8%), and FL (6%). Most searches had a preferred geographic radius of 50 miles (37%), followed by no limit (26%). Searches were most often conducted by patients searching for themselves (63% of searches submitted) followed by family/friends (32%) and clinicians (5%). Searches were most often for CCTs enrolling ages 18-64 (62%), followed by adults 65+ (30%). Searches targeted over 140 cancers/subtypes, most often breast (19%), hematologic (16%), lung (11%), colorectal (8%), gynecologic (6%), and prostate (6%). 98% of searches requested information on interventional CCTs, 84% expanded access, 80% observational, 77% all types. 95% of searches specified Phase 3 CCTs, 88% Phase 2 and Phase 4, 81% Phase I, 79% early Phase I, 76% all phases. The median number of matches across searches was 38 (25 th percentile: 10 matches; 75th percentile: 136). Among a subset of searches with voluntary responses about user socio-demographics ( n = 591-668), 46% of valid responses reported ≤$50K household income; 69% White, 15% Black; 43% ages 51-65. Conclusions: myTRIAList’s Trial Finder searches targeted a wide range of cancer diagnoses, with preferred treatment locations across every state. While interventional and Phase 3 trials were the most common searches, the majority were open with respect to trial type and phase. Future work will examine patient feedback on the utility and impact of myTRIAList on their cancer treatment.
