Abstract

To preserve healthy microbial activity and guarantee ideal fish growth, biofloc-based aquaculture systems need exact control over water quality parameters. The risk of ammonia spikes, oxygen depletion, and unstable pH levels is increased by the laborious, time-consuming, and human error-prone nature of traditional monitoring techniques. This project offers an IoT-enabled Smart Biofloc Monitoring System that continuously measures important water parameters in real time in order to address these issues. The system gathers data from several sensors, including as pH, temperature, dissolved oxygen, turbidity, and ammonia sensors, using an ESP32 microcontroller. Wi-Fi connectivity enables the ESP32 to send live readings to the Blynk IoT platform and a web dashboard for remote monitoring, while a buzzer and a 16x2 I2C LCD Provide immediate on-site alerts. To guarantee prompt remedial action, both local alarms and distant notifications are set off when any parameter exceeds its safe level. Farmers may maintain consistent biofloc conditions, lower fish mortality, and increase overall production in aquaculture operations with this cost-effective, scalable, and efficient solution.
