Abstract
Temperature is an important parameter which affects the design and performance of both flexible and rigid pavements. Temperature variations within the rigid pavement structure induces many distresses. Knowledge of temperature effects is essential for the design and maintenance requirement. The temperature differential depends mainly on the thickness of slab and the grade of concrete.
