Abstract

This study presents a comprehensive analysis of a solar dehydration system using Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD).Solar dehydration systems offer a sustainable method for preserving agricultural produce by utilizing solar energy. This review delves into the advancements and applications of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD) in the design, analysis, and optimization of solar dehydration systems. CFD has emerged as a powerful tool, providing detailed insights into the thermal and fluid dynamics processes within these systems. By simulating various design configurations and operating conditions, CFD helps in enhancing the efficiency and performance of solar dryers. This review compiles and analyzes recent studies, highlighting the methodologies employed, key findings, and the challenges faced in CFD Modelling of solar dehydration systems. It also discusses the future prospects and potential improvements in CFD techniques to further optimize solar drying processes, aiming for increased energy efficiency, reduced drying times, and better product quality.
